Help!! I took my gauge cluster apart for some cleaning. I took photos of the wires that had the lights on the ends,
so I could remember where they went (seat belts, hazards, battery, & the left & right yellow & orange lights). As luck
would have it, I accidentally erased the photos from my phone. I think I have the bottom left & right yellow & red lights
figured out... (but not really 100% sure). The others I KNOW I need some help with. Needless to say I wasn't too happy
that I erased the photos, as I knew I'd be looking like a dork asking for help. If there's anyone out there who can assist...
please do. ;o) Could have been such an easy job....

I should mention that I don't have the car running cond. so there's no way to really test out those lights, otherwise I would.
Here's what the wires look like (photo 1). Also there was a white wire from the speedometer wire cluster (photo 2) that wasn't
connected to anything? I'd image it should be. Any ideas? Much appreciation if you can steer me straight.

    Car's a 1981 308 Gtsi

I had the same problem , the older they get the more the wiring and instruments fall apart.

the console/interior functional diagram in the308 owners manual is the best place to find what lights go where in the dash.

also the wiring diagrams that are in the previous post are a very good source, pay the $20 and get all the updated, clear, readable multi color diagrams.

hats off to the guy who did the updated diagrams.

No owners manual. ;o( Everything else looks good with my wiring... besides me just mixing up (not keeping track) which light bulb goes where. I was
hoping someone would be able to quickly say: "The red & green wire is the Hazard light"... "The pink & black wire is the battery light"... "The black, yellow
& brown wires go to the seatbelt light." I could pop them in the correct hole & be done. I'm hoping.

If I needed to rewire the gauges, I'd definitely order the diagram.

    it`s your lucky day ;)

just a couple days ago I changed my gauge cluster from US to EURO -
and yes... I took pics of the procedure

upper left: black & brown, orange light
    lower left: black/blue, hazard

middle: green & red, seat belt

upper right: black & pink, yellow light
    lower right: black stripe/yellow, battery

as for the white wire on the speedo...I´m sure I did not disconnect such a wire
...and I do not see it on the pics either...

I see you are suffering from the same thing I am with the mounting bolts falling off.

    +1 - those are great.

I had a similar thing happen with an iPhone. Just stay patient! And don't guess!

    yub...of those 73500 miles, 45000 are "mine" ;)

now I´m starting again with 15000 km (of course I´m documenting the speedo change)

A big thanks from a few months ago for helping me out on those lights Me308 and P4Anton.

Now I've got one last dilemma. I also pulled the wiring that goes to the back of the ignition. I DID take photos of that, but cant seem to find them. ;o( Of course.

Would you guys happen to still have the photos you took? Ignition and the wiring in the back.

    Thank you, thank you.
