    Hi All,

    Hi All,

My 1991 348 climate control works very well with one exception. Sometimes after it has been running the control lights become much dimmer than usual.

I’m planning to replace the “hidden fuse” as seen in this threat: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44626&highlight=348 this weekend but just wanted to check and see if anyone has had a similar experience and what they did?

Not looking for 348 electrical gremlin stories but real trouble shooting tips and solutions.

Next step would be to take the unit and housing apart and clean connections as I have seen other owners do on this board. I will use the electrical conducting grease when I put her back together. Also I guess I will purchase a replacement housing unit in case mine breaks when I take it off. Any tips on removal?

So I found it after taking the right had carpet off - was not as in the pics on the boards.

My clock has a habbit of resetting itself and I believe it must be a result of the dimming problem.

    Anyone else have similar problem?

    Of course!

I put Stabilant 22a on the hidden fuse, on the 5 or 6 ground connections by the driver's left knee, just behind the leather bolster (you can see them with a flashlight if you lay on your back on the floorboard and look up at what will be your then "right" of your steering wheel), and then I removed the A/C electronics from behind the console tower and applied Stabilant 22a to every male pin and female receptacle and to every metal solder point.

Fixed the clock, fixed the dimming, fixed my up ^ button for the fan control.

    No problems since then, either.

Then I later went on a Stabilant 22a spree...put it on every Ground connection on the car, and on every male pin and female receptacle that I could find.

That last female part felt like college all over again!
