Popped into the dealer recently to check gearbox and brake wear and got some print outs (I was checking clutch/brake wear). Included there are all sorts of geeky stats including the number of times each gear has been engaged:

    1st 11365
    2nd 17848
    3rd 17413
    4th 13488
    5th 7528
    6th 2493

I was interested that I obviously in my driving favor 2nd and 3rd. Clearly 6th is "engaged" not often and when it is, it tends to run for quite some time. Perhaps I'm influenced by the sound of the car at high rpms in 2nd gear?...

At 15K miles that's 70 thousand gear changes or about 4.7 per mile on average :) all for clutch wear of 18.27%

Good clutch wear. Congrats, you are doing it right.

Talk about geeky stats. Have them hook it up to the dash sometime and take a peak at all the stuff stored in there.

Graphs for all the driving parameters. They resolve to large blocks of time so you can't figure what out your kid did with it when you let him drive it but it is interesting to look at your driving patterns.

I bought a CS a couple of weeks ago and asked them to run some numbers for me, i.e. clutch wear, etc. After reading your post here are the numbers from the previous owner.

    Nuetral: 1292
    1st: 3789
    2nd: 4466
    3rd: 3568
    4th: 2106
    5th: 987
    6th: 382
    Reverse: 941

4,949 miles with 12% clutch wear.

I had 13,500 miles on my 360's clutch with the same wear.

Try these stats on my CS:

*number of pucker buttholes for taking a corner too hot - numerous
*number of times breaking speed limit that can land me in jail- hundreds
*number of blow jobs received in the CS-17
*number of times got laid because of CS-5
*number of times I want any other exotic but CS- zero

No worries, we practice CIM in this part of world.

Someone should start thread listing craziest things done in a F-car.

Normally one has to go to a different kind of website to find the acronym CIM... classic, truly classic.

Do you ever suffer from race mode being inadvertently being switched off?
