    Hello "F"-Chatters,

I just received great news today that I've been accepted to vist Mecca...the Ferrari Factory.

Would anyone have any advice on the following:

Where to lodge, within close proximity to the factory?
    What to wear,business dress, casual?
What will be the attraction I won't want to miss?
While in town, any other attractions?

Needless to say, I'm ecstatic!!!! (to say the least), If there was a "high-point" in my life, this is it!!!!

Thank you very much, Chris L.

Stay in Modena for a night or two. Great city!! Maserati factory is right there too so maybe do that(if you care). Make sure you check the event calendar for the area so that there are no conflicts. Enjoy!

stay in modena (not maranello). we stayed at the real fini hotel. it was fine, but there are other good hotels in modena also. maranello is an easy drive from modena, and there's a lot more to see and do in modena. you can take in all the interesting things to do in maranello in one day.

you should definitely have lunch in maranello at the montana ristorante (it's an easy walk from the factory right next to the fiorano track). the montana ristorante is schumacher's favorite place for lunch when he's in maranello. really good food and good atmosphere.

Ferrari has a new hotel across the street from the factory above the Ferrari Galleria store and across the street from Cavalino. I always stay at Hotel Domus ([email protected]). It is not a 5 star but a lot of Ferrari Techs and guest stay there. This is in the city square. There is also the Executive Hotel. There are a ton of Ferrari stores in the area near the musuim (spelling). You can spend a day shopping and not hit all the little shops in the area.

The dress is casual with very comfy shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking. Try to get Ferrari to take you to the test track for a view and a test drive of some sort.

Just my $.02 - I go every year for the Ferrari Finale Championship. I try to get their the Saturday before because that is when the finale F1 race is held and the town is shut down for the viewing. It is a happening.
