This will not replace the Arnage. This will be the cheapest sedan Bentley produces. I think the Arnage will continue on. Bentley introduced the Arnage Drophead Coupe(convertible) version based on the Arnage recently. It is a concept car but most likely will be built to replace the Azure that is no longer in production. It is a bit bizarre that Bentley's entry level cars will be faster and most likely more reliable than their more expensive siblings. There will also be a Continental GT convertible in the future too. I bet Bentley will make this strictly a 2 seater if they go ahead and proudce the Arnage Drophead Coupe which will be a four seater. The new sedan will most likely be in the $150K-$175K range The Arnage starts in the $200K range and can go past $250K I am guessing the new Arnage Drophead Coupe will cost more than $300K if it is produced. I believe the Azure's MSRP was over $300K when it was produced.

Interesting alternative to the MB S600. Not sure how it will stack up against the S class replacement though. I've always been a fan of big powerful luxo barges, started with a Bentley Turbo R over 10 years ago which was head and shoulders above the Jag V12, 750iL , S600 etc of the day IMO.
IMO it looks really good, much better than the Mercedes looking "spy shots". Unfortunatly the back end the works and the Continental GT doesn't work nearly as well for the sedan.
LOVE IT!! I agree the pics don't blow me away either, however I remeber thinking the same about the Conti GT which in the flesh looks amazing. The thing about Bentley's is they are massive and have huge presence, I think in person this car will look as a Bentley should. And getting away from the shared RR body style will be a nice move, they have such a rich history and identity, no reason to look like a Rolls with a different grill.

I think it's rather nice, although the rear is somewhat bland. Not that one should care if they're driving, swathed in fine leather, wood, aluminum and exercising 552hp of Bentley...... Need to start saving those pennies......
B needs to drop the Arnage drop-top idea, and put money into an update inot this line. While I love 'em to death, the cars need to be freshened up. Rich: such is always the case. c'est la vie - qu'est ce qu'on peut faire? --Dan
Dan: Yes, a CGT based drop top would be a better seller. But, the Arnage drop top is a RR 100 EX killer. I think last week's (or the week before) Economist had a pretty good status report for Bentley, Rolls and Maybach. Bentley is making money and has over a year waiting list. I see the open Arnage as a brand killer with Rolls in their sights. Maybach is DOA. Cheers, Erik
The CGT convertible is still coming and not to far off from what I have heard. It is a 4 seater soft top and price should be below 200k. I would bet the Arnage drop top will be at least 300k. I doubt they would price it lower than the last Azure.
It is in the pipeline, but they are releasing the cars slowly. No sense in flooding the market when you can put a hurting on Maybach and Rolls. Don't forget that there is a little bit of ego at the top. The current VW boss is the ex-BMW boss that had responsibility during BMW's purchase of RR. This one is going to be fun to watch from the sidelines.
They're not in the garage. Yet. Remember, I'm not SUPPOSED to buy any cars until next year when I am back in the states. But yes, I'll have front row seats for this one.
