Beware FRAUD on Ferrari Ads

    Beware of the seller known as "Tay" from Miami who is selling service manual cd's and various fake 355 parts (claims they are originals) on Ferrari ads. He goes by "alelis97" on ebay. We purchased a 355 inside mirror cover and 355 front undertray from him on ebay. He said they were new parts and even gave part numbers. They are the poorest quality fakes we've ever seen - I will say spectacularly bad - he went so far as to put a ferrari logo and part number on the undertray. He has refused to answer or return our calls and e-mails (about 30 of them) for the past 2 1/2 months since shipping the items. He has been posting ads on FerrariAds as recently as last week, and selling on ebay even right now.

    If anyone here knows how to get in touch with this person (other than replying to his ads here), please let us know. In the meantime, beware, and don't buy from him.

    Maybe too harsh - but we would like our money back, and we would like to prevent anyone else from being treated like this.

    I don't think it's too harsh!! :), scum like that should get what they deserve.
    If you have his address, maybe someone who's is Miami could help you out.

    You wouls be very surprized at the acutal quality of some Ferrari parts you pay big bucks for..Not saying this to defend the bugger..but it is something to think about..

    LOL, I think there was another earlier thread similar to this one and what they did was showered the guy with tons and tons of emails and with the time difference call his home from Asia or Europe so he would be in bed for a hundred of times a night.
    He deserves it.

    yeah, I'm going to give him another day or so of polite or not-so-polite ( I think my brother might have addressed him as *ickface in an e-mail) personal e-mails and calls, then the guy's phone number, name, address are going up on here. He's had fair warning.

    By the way, I know what you mean about "lackluster" factory composite parts - I've repaired a few myself, but Ferrari had its act together when it made these undertray panels - they're at least smooth on the bottom. This fellow sold us something which may be made out of tar-paper and bubblegum. It's that bad. I haven't dissected it yet because I want to be able to return it in "as-new" condition for a full refund.

    Also, eBay hasn't offered any real help - "did you try the feedback system?"
