Alignment values for an ABS hub 88.5 328

4-wheel alignment on my 308 (which I've done more than once after suspension mods) is always just $100...

 

They're in your owner's manual. If you don't have yours, you can download it in PDF format from www.owners.ferrari.com

 

Not much of a friend since you can get it done about anywhere for 75-90. One word of warning, make sure the gas is full and car properly weighted as noted in your manual.

Really, $75-$90 for a four wheel alignment? Sometimes the cost of the shims alone can be that if you are going for an agressive set up. I assume the aligner with the $75 to $90 job has the shims in stock, ask to see them first. Make sure you get a print out of the settings before and after so you can see what's done, an preferably watch it being performed. Check also that the aligner checks the tyre pressures before the job too. Good luck!

 

Initially I had trouble finding anyone who would touch it other than for a front wheel alignment. Then I got a quote for $250 from a place. Sounded outrageous, so I called the nearest Ferrari dealership (Ferrari of Atlanta) which is 250 miles away... their service manager Chris told me that they don't do it there except on specialty/race cars -- otherwise they send it to a shop local to them. They advised me that on the older cars like 308/328/348's it's as simple as any other non-Ferrari, and anyone should be able to do it. So I called my favorite local bodyship guy (www.corlettauto.com -- check out his website, you'll love the logo!!) that works on my car and asked if he does it -- he doesn't, but he told me who does it for them locally. I called *that* guy, and he said sure, and the price for the Ferrari would be the same that he charges for any car for a basic 4-wheel alignment... $100.

 

I think I paid 125 for mine and that included weighting the drivers seat and compensating the adjustments for the type of driving I do.

Just tell him it is a standard "double A arm, coil over shock suspension". A very simple design.
