I just got the car and had the 30K (plus clutch) done at a F dealer before delivery. I have a very light leak from an inspection type plate in the middle of the trans bottom. There is some type of plug/sensor (trans temp or level?) coming out of this recessed area. Can anyone tell me what the plug does and if this is something typical and/or easily repairable? Thanks a million as I don't know enough about the car yet so self diagnose.

I attached a pic of the area and you can actually see a drip of oil ready to ruin my floor.

The component is a transmission shaft speed sensor. It hangs VERY low and is often banged against the ground breaking the cast aluminum plate it is attached to. Yours has been repaired at least once.

Order a new plate and gasket from Ricambi and next trans oil change replace it.
