So were you up early to post today or stayed up all night?? :D

As a total aside the info is up on the 2007 FFQC, it's put on by lawyers so you KNOW they have the bases covered!

4 days all inclusive in New Orleans....2,250 per person, as a "price check' only...

They have trashed a few cars, IIRC but no innocent by standers were harmed.....

It has the Speedy308 AND Zupra Cafe Seal of Approval!

Gokart racing around Harrah's Casino HIGHLY DISCOURAGED....but tolerated.....;)

I spoke with Markus of Players Run the other day on the phone he's excited about his event as well!

Because so so so so many people try to scam or bait us. And your first post completely fit that profile.

Before you shoot someone- make sure they are your enemy first. Our phone number is easy to find... and not one of you called our office in a selfless act to protect your clan.

Sad since you might have actually made new friends here in Orlando.

DR is right in a way, too many people just jump in and promote their **** without making an introduction or at least having a marginal amount of etiquette. BUT Mattymouse33 is also very right.

I am taking the "have fun but wait and see" approach. So far this year quite a few runs have fallen apart even with nice people and good intentions. A first time for a run is going to be tough too. As for people not in it for the money, some people sold their name for a few dollars and made a crappy SpikeTV show.

Tell ya' what. Knock that GIANT CHIP OFF YOUR SHOULDER and maybe a few folks here will warm up to you.

We're actually a great bunch of guys (and gals) here. We welcome folks here with open arms, but not open wallets.

You have to understand the skepticism here. Guy comes in, offers up his rally in a thread about a scam rally. We all go "HMMMMM..... MAYBE ANOTHER SCAMMER!!"

Then you cop a 'tude with all of us, which you're still doing, and expect us all to say, "Come on in, we like being **** on."

Nope. This is a social situation, and you need to make nice with the locals, otherwise you're gonna get yourself in a tight place.

So, here's your chance. Buck up, become a sponsor here to promote your event and you'll find a whole bunch of people willing to listen. Keep pissin' and moanin' about how unfriendly we are, and that will become a self fulfilling prophecy.

    Enjoy your stay.

Not being mean as you put it, but just pointing out two things: since your event is 'invitational' only, why even discuss it? Second, if you're here to make friends, why have your user name be the name of an event?

Sounds like you're trying to promote your event and even though 'invitational' only, there are ways any of us could sign up or be 'invited' if we want.

My suggestion if you're for real about your intentions (making new friends) - drop the talk about your event, and change your userID.

Is this not a free speech zone... or are we in WWII Germany? I like rally... I commented on an open topic close to me... and to justify my conversation I talked about my event.

I didn't have a chip till the haters were unkind. Of course I'll defend my position... I have nothing to hide. I didnt come here to advertise... but I can chat about what I want to.

Why discuss the event if we are not looking for drivers? It was topic. The invitation only aspect is our way of keeping haters and otherwise negative dangerous people out of the event. We want to have fun... not "issues."

So anytime you'd like to get off my A$$ and discuss something else is fine with me...

And again there have been no phone calls from any of you CSI fact finders.

    Cheers- JJ McClure

If you wanna drop it, I'd suggest you dropping it. Keep pressing on and it'll keep pressin on there partner. This thread was about that ludacris Navigators run that went under, so I fail to see how you take precedent here. If you wanna talk about your own "invitational" I'd suggest making your own damn thread, then you can cry and whine all you want about the posts in it.

Who would call you to argue on the phone anyway? That's no fun.

    1. The United States = free speech. Fchat is a privately owned forum, and can be regulated accordingly. So get off your high horse about free speech.

    2. No one accused you of having something to hide - we're accusing you of blatant advertising based on your responses, the fact that you have very few posts and the majority of those are in relation to your event (in this thread), and that your user ID is your event (blatant promotion). See #1.

    3. Your comment of "Why discuss the event if we are not looking for drivers? The invitation only aspect is our way of keeping haters and otherwise negative dangerous people out of the event" shows blatant promotion of your event. You ARE looking for drivers, regardless of a screening process or other way to get into your event. Again, promotion.

You want everyone in this thread off your a$$ as you describe it? Then quit promoting your event and defending the event of which this original thread title started out as. It's disputing the crap that went on with the Navigators Run, NOT your run. But when you jump in with all your defense of a new event and indirectly promote your event, WTF do you expect?

Perhaps doing a search here about all the events Fchat members have been burned on (through no affiliation with Fchat), you'd understand the animosity towards a "new event" which has never run before, let alone being promoted by a new member with hardly any contribution else where on the forum.

Why would we call you? Just to hear you talk in bad grammar?

How can you be a retired AF Chief and not know tact and how to deal with people? You above almost all should know that attention to detail in a written forum is paramount to being 1) understood and 2) believed.

And just as everyone here as been trying to tell you, posting about your rally in a thread about a scam rally is, well, pretty dumb.

And that part about free speech? You are in FChat land. Rob rules here, there is no free speech except for what he gives us. Welcome to Rob's sand box. There are about 1000 people that tried to "talk about anything they wanted" and were shown the door.

That said since we can find no other use of your account here on fchat but to promote you "rally," I have to play this on you now....

I'm a former USAF F-4 Phantom Pilot, Vietnam Veteran and Deputy Director of an Air Force Space Command Program Management Office. I don't own, but do love, Ferraris--and was happy to find the site. This is a very nice forum, imho, open to all who enjoy and respect Ferraris--as well as other hi-performance makes, without egotistical a-holes showing their financial statements. Many of the comments directed at you reflect that group ethic. The Navigator rip-off of the stars "run" was the topic and you jumped in on your own event. I give you credit for posting up supporting documentary evidence, but if you were in fact a Crew Chief involved with fighters, you should recognize not squawking the correct IFF can get an Aim 9 shot at your butt.

i'm late to this party and have only glossed over about 3 pages, but what in the hell is with this wooden car?! is that a prop car from a film set or something?

and apparently the whole event, including entry fees, was bogus without refunding the fees?

if i'm missing the whole point then pardon me and i will continue reading the thread.

As his sponsors (americandrivermagazine.com) who also has a sponsor role here on fchat... And as one of the "Former" owners of a part of ADM I can guarantee they didn't get cent one out of ADM. Hell I hardly did and I owned part of it.

ADM also "Sponsored" the Navigators Run, this was while I was still involved with ADM. I had nothing to do with that "sponsorship" and I knew it was, at worst a fraud, at best an ill conceived naive attempt to actually do something.
