Dallara-Wolf rhomboid wing stand offs, by the looks... ... and those rear spats look like the Dallara-Wolf style, definitely not full LP400S spats.
It is a LP400, at the time also had Bravo wheels now thankfully restored back to it's original guise! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've not seen another Countach in that colour and I have a clear recollection of the service book for this car describing the colour as "Bleu Spec"....The urban myth here was that Fosters wanted to replicate the colour of its beer cans!
Reminds me very much of Nigaro Blue, an Audi colour I thnk they released on the RS4 in the 90's. Shame it went red
Joe, What was the factory name for the colour and any idea on how many countaches were produced in this colour? Is this car a QV? I have another photo that shows a USA Spec QV rear bumper on the car? Kimbo
The Fosters Countach was a QV. As for the original colour, story has it that Fosters ordered it as a one-off from the factory, specially for the competition (although I imagine it was still most likely an original Lamborghini colour that happened to closely match the 'Fosters' blue?).

it has to be, the engine has to go somewehere... http://jalopnik.com/307770/bumblebee-on-the-fake-lamborghini-wagon
ITs doable. Anyone has a countach they want to chop up? All you got to do is extend the frames about 5' and BAM! It will give you enough room for the rear seats and the engine. Though, I like the looks in the picture.
I don't know the factory name on this particular Countach, but I'm vaguely aware of 4 cars that I believe were finished in the same blue.
Sorry if this is a repost: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQjpSX0qhGA[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jluar2wlKYc[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucB_U9pJ9bs[/ame] I've seen the first one, but the last two is new for me
4 months ago I bought an E34M5 in Jakarta.. not many of them left in good condition or have the correct legal papers. http://www.bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=10880 The PO spent $10k in mechanical replacement/freshen up already, meaning all the engine bay hoses was replaced and the engine is in good condition (she has 47k miles). Even after spending that much the official BMW dealer here didn't check the valve clearance and ITB balancing, not even compression test (yikes!) I did inspect, ordered parts from overseas (BMW Indonesia does not have valve shims, valve shim tools, not even Bosch Y6DC spark plugs) and change shims + ITB balance myself.... kinda hard to maintain an M-engine in coconut island. (I have ZERO experience on working on cars, but plenty of building RC cars since 6th grade. Thanks to the internet and BMW board, it is not that difficult compared to 10 or 15 years ago). I cannot trust any mechanics down here... the official BMW garage forgot to connect of the wiring from the airbox to the computer, another official BMW workshop did not tighten the cam cover bolts correctly and I lose 2 liters of oil after a hard run (it is rated @10NM but Indonesian mechanics NEVER read torque rating manual and they use elbow torque meter) .. that sort of stuff created problems here and there..and so forth .. it was frustrating to say the least. I talked to a guy who worked at a Ferrari garage down here and he said that the classic 512BBs ad BBis are NEVER truly balanced .. especialy the Carb ones I don't wanna know how they maintain Lambos/F-cars down here, just wait after 10 years How do you guys balance 6 Weber DCOEs or DCNFs ? Do countach use valve shims also ?
Though a replica, this is a well documented and discussed build. Knew he would try to sell it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hand-Built-One-Off-All-Aluminum-Lamborghini-Countach-Like-No-Other-/251207969088?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3a7d296940
After 20 years of sweat, grease and oil he is selling this? I can´t believe it. http://kiengineering.com/The_Bull.php the bull in the basement https://www.google.de/webhp?hl=en&tab=ww#hl=en&tbo=d&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=bull+in+the+basement
