One of the coolest commercials ever! (For those that recognize this description it's the very Rube Goldberg-ian Honda Accord commercial)
That one's been around for a couple of years but it is cool. They made a program about making that commercial - they filmed it it one take. Took them a few (!) goes to get it right but they did it in one eventually. I.
The tires had some kind of secondary propulsion, they were either weighted or something, cause they won't accelerate uphill like that on their own.
A friend sent me the link earlier today. Had me going until the tires. If they had slowed down during the sequence I would have lasted a little longer. Great imagination though. Seems to have been made in the UK 1-2 years ago. Animated by a real artist. Rube Goldberg would have been proud. Just think if it had been a Ferrari at the end. What would the steps have been. Just think of a 12 cylinder block in the mix! Fun to dream. John
Actually, as someone surmised, in the explanation of how the video was made, yes, indeed, the tires were weighted to make them roll uphill. No animation involved.
