...this ad captures the lines of the car stunningly well. Makes me fall in love with the 550 all over again. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-Ferrari-550-Maranello-Euro-Imported-by-AMERISPEC_W0QQitemZ150042784562QQihZ005QQcategoryZ6212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Agree. This is a fine example of how a car should be listed. Beautiful. Granted, it's a Euro, price is reasonable.
Hi Ghost, I hope I'm not hijacking your thread by pursuing the Euro car issue. I'm a newbie and would like to know the pros and cons of buying a Euro-spec car. I'm trying to educate myself before putting the money down. Also, is a DOT-EPA approved Euro car any more difficult to register, say, for instance, in California?
ABSOLUTELY! Much tighter guidelines and about $2,500 extra, IIRC. That is why most Eurocars cars are listed as "49 state" certified. That black car is probably right at 100-105K (for Cali).
I think if Amerispec did the conversion they tend to be the best. The CA is a good question. Anyone had any experience with this?
I use to own this car and it does not have ob2 computer. It should have been installed and I had a heck of a time getting it registered. Some states it would not make a difference but in Mass. it is a problem. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not having an OB2 I do think would be an issue in CA. Aside of that, how was the car from your perspective? Did you sell it to BMW of Austin?
Amazing pictures, how do people do this?? I can imagine the effect high quality photos like that would have on sales..
