Here is the deal of the century. Anyone game? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-Ferrari-360-Spider-Low-Miles-Very-Low-Price_W0QQitemZ230036676234QQihZ013QQcategoryZ84156QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It seems to be a pretty detailed auction. Other than a rediculously low price is there anything that makes it a dead giveaway scam? I noticed you have to qualify to bid plus you have to pay in person. Does this mean you disappear when it's time to pay for it?
The low price and the fact that you have to pay in CASH in person. The fact that he has 3 other cars at stupidly low prices (all pictured in different locations), the fact that the only items he sold before were blood glucose test strips (to build up some positive feedback) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124307 Maybe somebody should check the VIN: ZFFYT53A330134017
Maybe we can offer to pay more with a cashiers check that was already made out to buy another car but the deal fell through....
Maybe he would accept a wire from my bank in Nigeria. I used to be..... He'd need to put up a small deposit of earnest money of course...
I'm sending my agent with a cashiers check for $87,464.23. He will then cash the check and keep the extra cash for his troubles and then my agent will take delivery of the car.
Somebody email him and ask to view the car, get an address and phone number. You'll know pretty fast if it's a scam.
Probably more nigeria scams. I wish EBay would "outlaw" the "preapproved bidder" auctions on high-end cars, thats a dead give-away. See my previous post: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121568 James in Denver
I think myself and some of the good ole F-Chat boys from Houston ought to go do a visual and teach him a lesson in Texas Justice with a royal a$$whoopin!
i was gonna get it, but i don't like orange. by the way, it's not in houston, it's in a shipping container in another country. as soon as he has the cash, he'll ship it to ya.
He went through the trouble of buying stuff (his own auctions, I'm sure) to get the 100-percent feedback. Of course, he looks pretty stupid buying Playstation games and glucose test strips and then selling five highline cars.
Here is the Vin #- ZFFYT53A330134017 can anyone run a carfax and see where the car is supposed to be now ? Maybe a flood (Katrina car)
I wired him $80,000 for the car, and extra $5,000 for the 30k service, $2,000 for shipping, and $300 for a detail. Since he received my money I haven't been able to reach him ... did I get scammed?
Isn't this is the guy who robbed the "Sack of Suds" quickstop in My Cousin Vinney! Challenge grille? I don't see a challenge grille unless the seller means that "it's a challenge to see the grille"!

Its common practice for these scammers to get pictures of recent cars for sale, then once they sold, put the same pictures up. Clearly, he got them off of the website of the dealer in AZ that just sold the car. James in Denver
Okay, I bit and sent hom a request. Here is his response. Hello, Please forgive me for my late reply, but I was on a business trip and I just came home. This 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider is a great car, never implied in any accident, in excellent condition. There are no signs of prior damage on this vehicle. My job put me on the way to US and I bought this car there. Now I have to sell it as I've got back home in UK, Europe. As you know I need a right hand drive vehicle here. The car is located and registered in US. The final price is $80000. All documents, including clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the car. The transaction will be made under eBay's protection plan for our safety. Your funds will be 100% insured by Ebay who will hold your payment until you receive and test the car. You will have 15 days from the time you receive the vehicle to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not. If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name, address and eBay user id so I can initiate the deal through Ebay. I'm a serious man and I prefer to deal only with a serious buyer. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards,
