While it might be high for Ferrari weekend cars, it's not high mileage for a car with 7 years on the road. Check it out, it might be a great deal......

That price is so good I wouldn't worry about the miles. Have the car checked in a PPI for clutch and F1 pump. They are replacing the 355 F1 pump with 360 F1 pumps now days with a little extra modification, so don't worry about it if it's bad. Even if the car needs a major, this is a great deal. Carfax it for damage and salvage title. Also, somehow u have to check if it might have been a flood car. It is FL after all.

If it wasn't yellow, I might snake it out from under you. :D

The minority, Nomex-required opinion, but honestly spoken as though I were writing the check:

I'd spend another $5K-7K and get one of the many, many 355s with half the mileage with future resale in mind.

(I know, the 37K car probably drives just as well...)

I was just over at Bobileffs for my annual oil/fluid change and he has a great GTB there, '99, 16K miles, asking $79K. Negotiate down a bit on a nice California car like that.

To get half the mileage or less - you will spend MORE than 5-7k, a well sorted car will run you more like 10-20k for a 99 at least..

ARGH if I had the money I'd buy it in a heartbeat, can't let go of the Maserati though. Hope I can add a 355 in a year, I've wanted one so bad since 98.

Plus I'd rather get this rather then a 5-10k miled car, I know this has been driven and I would drive the car at least 5k miles a year so I would want it to be as reliable as possible.

See, this is what I'm thinking. What's that valve guide service cost again? The car listed, and Bobileff's do not need the guides replaced.

High miles??? 37,000 miles in 8 years = 4625 miles a year. The only thing high are the people thinking that's too many miles for an 8 year old car.

I agree that just means the car was excercised. As long as it was maintained this car is a bargain!!!! If only it were a spider.......I would swoop on it..... but then they would ask more $$$.

It's been floating around the auction circuit here in florida 6 times over the last year and 3 times in the last month. Also, I am familiar with the area it's located at and there is nothing but "buy here, pay here" dealers as you can see in the pics in the background--also sitting on the lot with a Honda Del Sol in the background.

If it's too good to be true, it is...

I bought a 99 F355 Spyder earlier this year with 32,000 miles. I got a good deal, had a few "bugs" worked out and LOVE the car! I have a daily driver (2003 Q45) but drive the Ferrari to lots of club events. I even took the car on two road trips this summer (once to Monterey for Concorso). In the past nine months I've driven the car another 10K, with a total of 43,000 miles now.

Just make sure the services have been done by someone who knows what they're doing and have a THOUROUGH INSPECTION done.

Drive it like its meant to! Oh, buy the way I plan to keep my car for a long time so I'm not worried too much about depreciating it by driving it.

... the moral to every "go for it/buy the high-mileage car" thread.

Remember, it's hard to keep cutting the grass around a 50,000-mile Ferrari parked on the lawn.

The reasons not to drive your car all revolve around money. The reasons to drive it all revolve around pleasure. Hmmmmm......money......pleasure........money.............pleasure

I can tell you from firsthand experience that the cars i've had that would sit for weeks or god i hate to admit it months always had many more problems. The cars i've gotten 250k+ were the most trouble free.

Chances are any less than 5 grand a year on a car means the car has sat alot or only been drivin on short in town drives with lots of starting and stopping and goin through the gears with the clutch and brakes being used more and the car running alot at cold temps etc.

Sounds like the right amount of mileage for that car to be healthy.

I'd bet alot of the cars advertised as 12k and 16k etc. are not real mileage.

Is it just me or does the rear bumper appear to have a different shade of yellow than the rest of the car? Perhaps, it's just the angle.....

Don't want to put a damper on things but the interior looks pretty tacky. Outside looks great...but it's easy to polish up something and make it look like a champ. The interior of a car is an excellent metric on how it's been treated. The 37k mileage doesn't bother me...I'm just wondering how those 37k were driven.

Personally I don't believe most Ferarri odometer readings.

Buy on the condition of the car and not on the mileage.
