Searching for F40, ready to buy

My name is Mark W.(Ciro Izzo) I usually dont profile myself on these boards but here is some info
on me. I have been a Ferrari owner for 14 years (Im 38) went from 308 to 355 sp to 360 sp 430 cp .

Now I own a 430 Spider and a 360 Challenge car .

I'm looking for a nice original F40. I'm ready to buy
now. Let me know if you can help.

You may want to take a look at the Ferrari of Quebec web site. The dealership owner is selling his. I guess he is upgrading to a LM model.

I see you're pulling out all the stops Mark! Sorry I turned down your offer to buy mine. Some things just aren't for sale (or if they are it's going to cost you!).

I told Mark about the Ebay car. As for cars in other countries they really have no value to a U.S. buyer since they are not eligible for conversion.

You still might want to try Ferrari Quebec. I think I remember hearing the car was US spec... not sure, but it can't hurt...

Thanks for the response, I am pulling out all stops !! I'll have the Challenge Car out at Sebring next weekend, if you're ever in Fl. let me know. Also , the 1990 with the replaced engine, I saw you considered that car. Was there any other stories besides the motor? Was it a nice car?

Good to see someones who's ACTUALLY buying the car instead of some "broker".. Good luck in your quest!

 

Mark - That car also had some stories - the replaced engine and also a replaced speedo. The person selling it was a broker and he could not explain why they replaced the speedo. I could understand the engine but usually that does not affect the speedo. An engine change happens at mileage xxxx and is recorded as such. The broker said the owner wanted the speedo mileage to reflect the new engine. Didn't make sense to me. Never actually saw the car so I cannot comment on its condition, etc. Decided to pass.

Are good condition F40's really that hard to find these days?? That must be good news for the owners on this site, I wouldn't want to sell right now either.
