I just noticed that the link to my ****** page (its F L I C K R if it's cencoring this) in my signature had the word ****** as ******. Wtf? Mods? -John
****** translated from Old Dutch is ****. The software is just very smart! It'll bleep it either way you write it
This is an honor because you fianally spelled a word correctly and you are being recognized for it. Now have a great day.
What the ******? This is most odd?? I started the ****** group because I genuinelyt thought it was a good idea - what gives?!? Someone's deleted the whole of the last thread on the subject?? I always listen to reason but this??
Since you are from the UK, you may want to try to understand American censorship in the PC age. Regardless of context, we do not wish to offend. Hence, the perfectly good UK term for an old crone is *****, much the same as the affectionate term for your feline pet is *****cat. Now, isn't that better?
It's not fear. It's market protection. If you worked hard to build a business, and then some guy posted stuff on your front dorr inviting your customers to his shop instead, you'd tear it off your door. This is no different. Every time you suggest there's fear involved, it's just plain stupid. There's no fear. It's not about fear. It's about protecting your investment and growing your business. Sponsors pay to have their links on this site. The appeal is the number of folks who come here and stay here, hang around, browse, etc. Allowing other websites to be posted here that might draw traffic away is detrimental to Rob's BUSINESS. That's why I'd kill the links when I saw them, too. Just good business sense folks. DM
I understand the EF/LP/ETC censored words.. this one I can't wrap my head around. Of course, can't figure out why *******.com isn't in that same group, but I guess that's a horse of a different color.
Most people come here to look at pictures or videos. Take away the pictures and you lose the users. I don't want to use the word stupid but taking away the content that people here want ain't smart. Try opening up a gourmet restaurant in Camden and see who comes
