Prius haters unite! (rant)

You have to do that! I am getting a sticker on my car for sure. ahahaha.

 

I vote that we rate hybrids in SMUG emissions. Clearly the Prius would be a gross offender.

 

I have always hated the idea of a hybrid vehicle. Atleast Honda caught on and is supposedly going to offer a diesel Accord instead of Hybrid Accord. But then again, I really hate Toyota/Lexus/Scion.

 

Just wait till one goes in the water. No way to prevent that high-voltage battery from turning you into Ted Bundy.

If any of these eco-dimwits owns one of these cars long enough they'll go broke fixing it.

 

Prius drivers are worse than normal which means, horrible. I take pleasure in slowing down in front of them until they move over to allow traffic to pass through.

I think the funniest thing I have ever seen was a Prius ont eh side of the highway, that had run out of gas. The owner was filling up the tank with a gas can! Was he really that full of himself that in the tons of miles to a gallon it already gets, he couldn't be bothered to stop for gas? Maybe he thought he didn't need gas..

 

I carry a mirror card in my car that is IDENTICAL to the California disabled parking permit, but, mine says "Abled Person Parking Placard" and instead of the wheelchair stick figure, it has a walking stick figure. The cards were made as a protest to the walking people that abuse the permits, everybody that noticed my card loves it, because they know how true that is.

I think you may be onto a cool protest niche with the stupid hybrid stickers!
"Petroleum Powered Vehicle"

etc...

As for hybrids, the most efficient vehicles are allegedly the new clean burning diesels that are supposedly heading stateside.

 

Someone print them up and they will sell like hotcakes!

Not true - my son has a Hylander - it is amazingly fast off the line - certtainly quicker than my 3.2 Mondial - the electric motors deliver instant torque to al four wheels - I don't think there is anything much faster than it in the 0-30 range on the market.

 

I think one of the Prius options is a block of wood under the gas peddle to squeeze every mpg they can (don`t want to accidentally floor it ). Ya know, sort of the opposite of the option we would want.

 

HAHAHAH, sucks for you guys, I just saw a commercial saying since everyone wants to buy a Hybrid, Toyota is now MASS PRODUCING them. I dont really mind them, never have trouble with bad drivers in a Prius. If you guys have problems, you should just draft em, or ride their tails till they move over.

 

Let them save the gas, there will be more for Ferrari's to use.

I personally love the Prius. I find it a sensible and really exciting car to drive. Personally I'd like a pair of them. Ok, I really don't care either way.

 

I agree 100% with you Jon. The funny part is there "real-world" fuel economy isn't near as good as they say and there are many "regular" cars that match it.... Much of the whole "Hybrid" stuff is just a marketing gimmick.

The worst are the attitudes of the drivers (most of them) in that they are Captain Planet and everyone else is bunch of a-holes for burning for fuel than them.... I talked to a girl one time that told me about how she hates drives like me and loves to get in front on purpose to drive slow next to another car so I can't get around.... because obviously that is MUCH more safe to traffic than someone driving 5-15 over in the left lane..... I justly told her to where she could go...

I can't wait till those get here. I would absolutely buy one for a commuter. Makes sense, have power, and no weird stuff under the bonnet.

Toyota mass producing them. Great. More freaking taxes we are going to have to pay to subsidize those stupid things.

It's not that I am against all hybrids. I like the hybrid version of the Lexus rx. Basically function exactly the same just gets a little better mileage. Plenty of power. Dont know why I quoted you, but, for all the socker moms who use those cars to just piddle around. Might as well have them use a little less fuel.
