He must have been lurking on this site... or maybe we arent the only forum making fun of his car... several of the stickers are gone, but it still looks crazy stupid with that wing on it.
Do you suppose ANYONE that has ever followed this guy down the road hasnt ripped on the stupid second license plate nearly scraping the ground?? lmao
Bad taste and malicious destruction of a 348 is one thing, but this clown has ALOT to learn about how to SELL a car!!

Any time you publicly advertise something for sale you can expect unsolicited criticism.

The fact that this is virtually the only 348 that has a wing (particularly with such a drag-producing angle) is certainly fair game to be lampooned.

Apparently the owner (you perhaps?) has rather unique taste. This doesn't necessarily translate well into a saleable car.

I agree with what you've said. I have more to say, but I will stop here lest people begin to think I am trying to be a moderator, a daddy, or an ethical instructor. Indeed, I cannot teach decency here.

 

Sorry, I have to agree that all these accessories on a Ferrari are kind of Rice-a-Roni. Here's another one that would take some effort and cash to restore to its original svelte self.

As far as criticism, I think it's OK to criticize the car without taking shots at the owner. If a couple of prospective 348 owners surf FChat and read threads like this, maybe we can save a few cars from having Boeing spares bolted onto the back.

Its always amusing when someone jumps on thier soapbox ranting and slinging mud when they dont even know what thier responding too, or the basis of a comment!
The lurking comment was based on another thread that was started the FIRST time this car was listed on ebay... at which point this same car had about 6 times as many stickers and crap all over it. Now the car is relisted with all new pictures and most of the stickers removed... hence my comment that he must have seen those 30+ posts about how bad and tacky it looked. Not to mention the auction ended with ZERO bids.

And exactly what does a join date have to do with absolutely anything!?!?!?
And how do you even know this owner and his join date?? are you his mommy or something?

 

Somebody had a bad experience on Ferrarichat, based on your posts here and in the other recent thread on selling a car...

If somebody likes this car, they're free to make a bid. Likewise if somebody in this thread liked it, they're free to jump up and say so. If that wing, oversize badge, etc. are your cup of tea, enjoy.

These folks don't bother me. I know I am a respected member of this community who adds positively to Ferrari enthusiasm. Those who insult others gain respect neither in this community nor in any other.

 

Sorry, I got to agree with the overall message here - that car is over the top. I wouldn't dis the owner, but I might caution them about "overdoing" or "hyper-personalizing" a car they might want to sell at some point. For sure there are few ppl with the same sense of taste. The offering prices will tell the tale. Then, when the seller wants some advice on how to draw better offers, then we can jump on him. j/k of course.

Ferrari ppl can be such snobs sometimes. Thank God I am only in the 348 section (where we are more civilized), not the vintages, where they are merciless! Scares the shiit out of me.

 

How much drag would that wing provide? It looks like it is at the same angle as an air brake.

 

Morality aside.... If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck etc etc. No one seems to be attacking the owner. We are actually doing the owner a service. I'm sure our thoughts on the car are the same as many non Fchat people looking at his auction. We have now given him insight as to what his potential buyers are thinking. This in turn enables him to correct problems to his car and make it more marketable to the world at large. I have no ill will nor would I make comments about the owner but a duck is after all, a duck no matter what forum you discuss it on............

I should say one more thing: of course I do not like the cosmetic alteration of his car. I like it as much as anyone else does. I was commenting on the way folks were going about criticizing. I have finished.

I'm diggin' the Ferrari Stickers: The two giant ones right above and behind the front wheels, and the one on the front hood, the one in the engine bay and the one by the stick. And when i say I'm diggin' them, I really hate them. I might be 15, but I can recognize a nasty car when I see one. If the owner is a member on the forum, please fix this car. The Fcar gods are not happy.
