Just purchased my first F-car, a 1989 328 gtb with 38k miiles, silver with black leather and red carpeting. What a beauty! Installing a tubi exhaust. Considered a 355 but could not justify the 100+% premium over the 328. Great combination of style, performace and handling. Given the rarity of the 89 coupe, truly destined to become a classic.

    Congratulations!

Hope you keep the original exhaust pieces, because I'd be willing to bet that if you hold onto the car for another decade or so, it will be worth as much or more than the 355 :)

Not many 328 GTBs running around (swarms of 355s) & once the electronics of the 355s start to die out the tides are going to turn.

Totally agree with you how you consider it over the 328. I have just as much fun looking at my 308 and enjoy the art shape of it as driving it. Great choice.
    ....now pics..please

    Maceman,
There is a small fraternity of GTB owners here. We have been collecting VIN#'s. Please post your last 5 digits. Also, I can email you a spreadsheet of cars we already have records of in US. Currently I have 23 of the estimated 40 US 89's. Just send me a private msg and I will email info. Anyone who wants this list can get it by sending me private msg. BTW, great choice. I have had 5 other Fcars ranging from 77 to 94. The 328 GTB is the best by far.

It is already a classic ;). Congrats on a fine automobile.
As Steve Ahlgrim said (in Keith Martin's Book "Collecting Ferrari"), "The 328 is the best Ferrari ever built. Period."
    Don't forget to post pics.
