I used this in my last 993 Turbo. It's made from alloy and I had to shave and grind it a bit and make it fit snug, and and then drilled a tiny hole in the plastic for a small screw. The seat still goes back and forward without catching the holder. I like the little cover for the lighter, so this keeps everything as it was and it's easily removed. Total cost was $50.00. Cool, I would like for my 993 as well And I could use another cup holder for my 430. Did you do this for an f-car too? (I did not check to see if you owned a 360 or 430, though you did post it in this forum...) I was just going to google or ebay a similar product. Can you offer any tips on what you did and where the best place to get one from is?
what are your preferred solutions for leather treatment? I think Graham needs some for his seats, leather looks dry. Cup holder looks great, I need to find a similar solutions as well.
I am a car care whore... I try every product that comes out my detail guy learns stuff from me when he comes over to detail!!! Best leather products I have ever used superior by far as far as treatment and the smell left in the car is zymol! I use zymol leather cleaner leather conditioner will leave you interior smelling like a brand new pair of Feragamos!!!
Here you go... Automation.com EVO cup holder: http://www.automotion.com/evo-super-cup-holder-for-most-porsche-models.html
Really? My seats look dry? I used some Swissol but am trying to find some Leatherique locally. It's hard to find, but I used it in the past and it smells nice. Apparantley Rolls Royce use it. Must be good. The cup holder came from http://www.inventivaconcepts.com/ You will need to grind it though. It wont fit out of the box. I was prepared to wreck mine. Just be aware. It might be worth asking the guy if he can make one for the 360.
Anyone has installed a Cup holder in a Scuderia? I need to grab a drink once in a while when running errands, and holding a Cup in between my legs is not safe and not comfortable. At one time, I spilled a complete Venti-Capuccino on the passenger's side floor pan, messy.
I'm making a cup holder for my F430. It's probably the most expensive ever in the history of cup holders if you consider the lost opportunity cost of hijacking one of my horizontal machining centers. It replaces the ashtray. I made a plastic rapid prototype of it to check it out and it works great. In fact, it's been in use in my 430 for months as I waited for time to make the aluminum version. I'm going to try both clear and black anodize and see which I like the best. I'll post some pics when its done. It has a little extra surprise that should be pretty cool... Mine is a Matsuura. They are great machines but we run 24/7 and so they break once in a while and when they do, they make Ferrari part prices seem reasonable. Rather than give you code, I'm making several so if you really want one I can be bribed with interesting things like exotic beer, fine wine or Swedish au pair girls. Just wishful thinking on that last one as my wife has made me swear off... But she lets me have a Ferrari instead.
Attached is my latest edition of 55 gallon home brewing system runs off an ipad so some exotic beer could be worked out. Just built a 25 galloin bewery for my business partner & best friend he lives in Park City. We're in manufacturing as well so always working on a fun project. His 458 Spider should arrive in Feb. I'll be in PC in a month or so to hopeful get in some paragliding and run him through his 1st brewing lesson on his new system you're welcome to join. Image Unavailable, Please Login
