Anyone put the clear bra stuff on their cars in so cal? I was wondering what the cost is?

I was thinking of mirrors/front bumper and part of the hood? Suggestions welcome.

Also what about 6-7 years later. Espcially with some cars fading (that I see around), will the protected area under the clear bra, not fade, and the other paint fade?

    Would appreciate some help.

If any local Los Angeles Installers you know of, would appreciate a referral.

Give Bain a call at Envisage Design Labs (310-787-7544). He recently did a great job on my car. He will give you the correct answers without all the sales BS. Tim

Yeah, Bhane at Envisage is a great guy and an F-Chatter (a.k.a. "donoe"). I think several of F-Chatters got their cars done by him, and seems like everyone are extremely satisfied with the job quality and the price.

Thank P-Man. I sent him a PM. Hopefully he will get back to me. :) I have some time, as the car just sits in the garage for the next month or so.

Scheduling may be a problem especially with the distance between his shop and me. With running full service business, for the next few months, sundays might be the only chance I can get to escape.

It took approx. 4 hours to do the job. He will do the job at his shop in Torrance, or he will come to you. Also, he works Saturdays. Tim

I asked about this a while ago - an f-chatter in Seattle (Eric) actually drove his new 612 cross country with this spray on clearcoat and did an incredible writeup. There was also some discussion about clear film.

Check this out before you get anything done:

I did my 360 and 550. My vote goes to Sammy at PREMIER MOBILE AESTHETICS GROUP. These guys are truly perfectionists and artists.

Any phone numbers for Sammy, DREW?

I contacted Bhane already, and awaiting his response. I will contact sammy as well, and then figure something out.

Appreciate the help. For the poster that recommended, the armour coat. Thank you. I spent some time reading up on that.

After speaking to some people, I have been hearing after 3 years or so, there are lots of dirt/dust/wax built up at the edges, and thus looks terrible.

    Any thoughts on this?

If you run a q-tip along the edges, the buildup disappears. Tim

I used Bhane to do my hood & bumper (mirrors already done). The cost quoted to me was around $750. I'm not sure of exact cost since the person I bought the car from paid. I don't know if there's a cost difference between doing the 355 & 360.
