Hi everyone, Once again I will share with you the making of one of my drawings, and this time made for Fchatter "AJS328" or Augustine Staino, who allowed me to share the evolution of the drawing with all of you! The drawing will not have a background, since Augustine really like the lines of Pininfarina to be the highligts of the drawing, and so Augustines beautiful 328 GTS and the shaddow thrown on the ground, will form the picture! The angle in which the car is seen on the drawing is totally different from my other drawings, and it has been a great challenge to get it look right!!! Here are some pictures of the evolution until now. The drawing was started yesterday, and it took some attempts before I got the angle right....I think this should work out now!!! I really like the detail of the rear wheel in this drawing.....should look very cool when finished! Updates will follow as the drawing evolves. Hello Carsten, I like much the choice of the angle of sight, once again it is good work Carsten !! Best regards Forza Ferrari Vive La Marque
I always admire your drawings, but in this case I immediatly noticed the rocker/sill lines (under the door) are not straight, though they should be even from this perspective. However I'm sure it will be another great drawing in the end!
Thanks Christophe, It's also a nice challenge for me to try new angles and perspectives!!! Best regards Forza Ferrari Vive La Marque Carsten
Thanks Bert, You are right, the line wasn't straight on the first pics, and the reason is very simple.....all is handmade, and things like that always occurs when I outline the car and draw the general lines!!! I have in all, or at least most of my drawings had to correct some lines along the way! This one had already been corrected when you made your post! The door and fender's lower line makes kind of an edge, so the line in the drawing will both be showing the lower line of the door and fenders itself, and at the same time also the shaddow on the sill made by that edge!!! You will see on the next update that the line is corrected and much more straight! Regards Carsten
I knew I was too early to post But since I made my 308 look a bit like a GTO, everything handmade, I can dream every edge of these cars and just like in drawing, in practice a few millimeters off can make the difference between correct looking and hey-there-is-something-wrong looking.
@Bert, Being an artist yourself, you'd know exactly what I'm talking about Yes, only a millimeter off would twist the picture as a whole, and we wouldn't want that!!! You have done a wonderful work of art on your 308 and it's clear to everyone who have seen the pics of your car, that you are a real perfectionist too (read artist)
I will do my best to get the lines look "red" to resemble the car in question .... if Augustine buys a new car he will have to order a new drawing
If he buys a new car??? lol I used to think it was just a color thing, then when he sold a red 328 to buy a red 328, I realized he may just be insane.
Okay I'll keep on with black & white Here update 3 with another close up of the rear wheel to show the progres made to that one so far!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
