I saw a quick blurb on Breakfast TV this morning...sounds like our city is going to **** real quick...what a year its been for shootings.... They showed a brief shot of the car involved in the accident, looked silver/gray, but I couldnt make out which model (if indeed, that was the Fcar)...but it looked like a fairly modern one, rather than an older/classic.
A carjack? Quite aggressive if so... otehrwise, my guess is still drugs. Actually, I've been wondering for a long time what a "high speed chase" would be like if someone really went for it in a Ferrari, Lambo or Porsche turbo, in North America, that is. There's already ample evidence that the Swedish authorities can't catch sportscars on Sunday mornings .
It doesn't sound like a carjack either, but, as usual, police aren't saying anything. Probably because they don't know anything. They haven't said whether the guy was shot outside of the car, then drove it, or, more likely, was shot while in the car. Here's more:
If someone spotted this silver 360 please report it to 416.222.tips OOORRRR....... 2005 Toronto Spotters thread! Alright alright, its late i know....I gotta go to bed. I was at two auctions all frigen day!!! V.
From the Toronto Star...sounds kinda funny....could be a gang hit? I've attached a pic so I hope it works. cf Sep. 30, 2005. 06:41 AM JIM WILKES / TORONTO STAR York Region Police Detective Constables Brad Joice, and Sean Fitzgerald examine evidence near the Ferrari of a man shot yesterday. Ferrari driver victim of bizarre attack Man shot near Vaughan plaza Driver's door of Ferrari torn off JIM WILKES STAFF REPORTER Police issued an arrest warrant yesterday for a 47-year-old Toronto man after a bizarre shooting during which the door of the victim's Ferrari was somehow torn off. The 35-year-old victim had been driving the 2002 sports car moments before he was gunned down around 6 a.m. yesterday, police believe. The shooting occurred near a Vaughan plaza that houses a Vietnamese karaoke bar and other businesses. He was apparently able to drive half a block to the corner of Adesso Dr. and Steeles Ave. W., just west of Jane St., where the door was ripped off. It lay on the pavement in front of the abandoned light blue car, surrounded by broken glass. Police believe the wounded man was pulled into a silver 2000 BMW, which sped off, eventually pulling into the parking lot of a commercial plaza beside a gas bar at Finch Ave. W. and Weston Rd. in North York, where paramedics were called. Witnesses told police the man's chest was covered in blood and that he slipped in and out of consciousness as they waited for paramedics to arrive. The BMW's front passenger window was also shattered; it was covered with plastic sheeting by police until forensic officers could inspect it. The vehicle was guarded by officers from both York and Toronto. The man, whom police refused to identify, was in critical condition in Sunnybrook hospital last night with what was believed to be a gunshot wound in his chest and three more in his back. Police were unable to say whether the Italian sports car, which is registered to a Toronto leasing company, was stolen. Shopkeepers in the area of the shooting said the car has been seen regularly on nearby streets and often at the plaza. Const. Kim Killby of York police appealed for anyone with information to call detectives at 1-866-5423, ext. 7865. Police are seeking Doan Phuc Nguyen, 47, of Toronto on a charge of attempted murder. Considered armed and dangerous, he is believed to be driving a silver Mercedes or Lexus. Image Unavailable, Please Login
given the area and the Karioki bar./... Both. I remeber when I lived in TO there was a rash of shootings around the Young Steels area with asian gangs and the russians...
That area, especially Jane and Finch area is know for gang related stuff, and shootings, so it's not surprising. What I don't get is, how did the door come off?
Huh? Hi Todd, I'm not sure if this guy's recreational events include club racing. Club-going maybe Perhaps this is the 360 Spider that was downtown last weekend in the "Entertainment District". Now that makes more sense. V.
Yeah no kidding. It's a good thing Texas is gun free. V. P.s Ironic thing is, there is also a "Toronto" in Texas. Hope you arent talkin about that on eh?
From what I saw on CP24 as they were wheeling him into the hospital, this guy's got serious tattoos. It's getting weirder by the moment.
Ur rite its a 360 spider I think wen he got shot he lost control if he was alive that would cost alot to fix!!
LOL, you are 8 years old!? No worries little buddy. Let the dude worry about fixing his door. Heheh, this is too much.
the guy had 140,000$ grand worth of dope on him...the shooter waited in his car...till the owner was getting in drove into the door tearing it off...and shooting him....thats what happens when your in that lifestyle...
