I just learned that Roffredo Gaetani d'Aragona (owner of Ferrari of Long Island and Ferrari of New England) was killed in an accident this morning. At this point, I have very little details on this. Thoughts and Prayers to his family.

Truly a loss for the automotive world. He was such an interesting man. A real ladies man, a "count", and a true gentleman.

Check out this interview and deatils about his life.

Could someone expand on Aragona's death. Where? How?

Very sorry to hear about this. Coincidentally, I stopped by FoLI late Friday morning with my wife, as I had a very rare day off and I wanted to treat myself. The place was mostly empty and very quiet but I don't know what time the accident happened. I figured it was just quiet because it was right before the big holiday weekend. I hadn't been to the showroom in a long time so I took a look at the inventory, met Laurie and bought a polo shirt as my current one needs replacing. O/T, the ratio of Masers to Ferraris was about 3:1.

I just searched the big NY newspapers online, I am unsure of any LI papers that might cover the obituary.
