Man up! (part 2) Great cause, PLEASE donate!

Here goes..

One year has passed since the last Relay for Life and most if not all of us have lost a loved one to cancer. This is simply unacceptable.

As the Chairman of Fundraising for the Relay for Life and a Board Member of the Students of Albany Against Cancer, I am calling on you; our good friends, family members, and business associates, those who are in a position of power and influence, those who can help fight this horrible epidemic.

Last year many of you contributed to my individual cause garnering up nearly $4,000 and over $30,000 as a school. Amazing! Taking on a new role in charge of fundraising, namely corporate, and as a concerned and very active philanthropist, it is my civic responsibility to take advantage of my fortunate health and unbelievably supportive friends in an attempt to double our overall total from last year.

The Relay for Life is an overnight 16 hour team walk-a-thon which raises money, spreads knowledge and awareness, and honors those who have been touched by this disease. The money raised for the Relay for Life specifically goes to research, education, advocacy, and patient and family services. The Relay for Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

Again, they've set up a website that allows friends to donate directly to the Cancer Society and raise $ for the team. Of course, as this is a charitable donation, it is tax deductible, and you will be able to use your credit card as it is a secured site.

I ask that you please donate to my team, as various ITECers have already done; even $20 makes a difference.
