    Hi John
Despite all you have read 01C did become 010I. This was confirmed to me personally by Roberto Vaglietti when I visited Ferrari last July.

I have produced an individual who claims to have stamped the chassis when the car was with Anthony Bamford to export the car.
He has claimed this story for over 10 years and NO ONE want to listen.
He is in the car trade for 40 some odd years.

Unlike Roberto this person claims to have been there and done the deed.

If it can be proven one way or the other, there is going to be a long string of lawsuits. I think that may be why some people who might actually know the facts are reluctant to say anything publicly..

I believe 01C/010I already came out of hiding during Pebble in 2006, owned by Roger Willbanks. (Note: I'm not claiming it really was 01C, not getting in the middle of this debate, just sitting back and taking it all in..)

Read what Tom has to say very carefully... As I read it he's refering to someone who claims to own 01C not "01C/010I".

A 1947 Ferrari 125 Sport known as the first Ferrari ever built will make its first appearance in the western United States in Palm Springs at the inaugural Desert Classic Concours d'Elegance on March 1. This special Ferrari, chassis number 01C, has not been publicly diplayed in nearly twenty years.

The Coppa Acerbo Pescara race was Aug. 15th 1947. Where Franco Cortese drove 02C as #21, not as #1.

It would be amazing to see 010I with the 166 Spyder Corsa body! I think one of the owners - Frank Gallogly, was from your area Jim.

    Best,
    Jon
