Thank you for contributing in beating a dead horse and hurting my thread. Please do not post anymore on my thread. Thank you in advance.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. After many PM's from interested parties & F-Chat friends. The car will be sold as is. A lot of this has to do with my gut. Those who sent me PM's encouraging me to not become discouraged or simply to leave the vehicle as is; have really validated what my gut was already telling me. Plus, the operation in town that has wonderful reviews, yet again failed big time on the customer service front. Truth be told, I attempted to reach out to them months ago when she was delivered. No one ever picked up the phone after attempting to call 3x. Most recently a close friend of mine in the detail business emailed them on my behalf and they responded with some additional questions - but never called back with a quote after saying they would. This is huge for me. Being in sales, I return all calls before leaving the office. Even if it is to say; I did not get to it today, but will tomorrow. Therefore, when it comes to something of this nature, if I do not receive the same treatment, I will look elsewhere or go without. We all have our principals. Despite how insignificant this may seem to some, it isn't for me.
In business, not returning a phone call within 24hrs regardless of what you have to say, is the rudest thing a person can do
I have recently been reading your thread. I used to have a TDF Blue, same year as yours. Fabulous car. I look forward to seeing you celebrate finding a good home for your 599.
Regarding taking cash in hand as payment, I remember some years ago, a GM dealer in the Texas area had a person walk in, pay cash for a new Corvette, everything's fine, signs all the documents, takes the care and leaves. The next day, IRS agents show up, the buyer of the Corvette was a big time drug dealer, the IRS seized the funds, the buyer of Corvette, they think, took it to Mexico, the GM dealer; no money and no Corvette. If someone is wanting to pay you a large amount of cash for something, there is a real chance of something illegal going on, drug money, stolen money( bank robber's don't steal money just to hid it forever), sales tax evasion, or?
Congratulations - funny when you look all over for the perfect car - find it - everyone loves it but you can't sell it when you need to By the way,by the looks of your flip flops you should be living in the keys - looks like you have a great dog - congrats again
