    Space needed.

UK RHD 308 GTS with Air con. One of the very last carburettor cars produced.
The car has been subject to a full photographic restoration. The bodywork has been stripped of paint & all metalwork carried out professionally to a high standard. All suspension & components have been media blasted & epoxy painted with newly rebuilt shocks, bushes etc etc. Underside has been fully stripped & painted. All callipers, brakes etc etc have been stripped & refurbished. Tanks pressure tested & re-painted correctly in factory silver finish. Interior stripped & repainted as per factory finish. The engine has been stripped, tested & rebuilt with new gaskets, belts etc. All engine/boot areas have been repainted as per factory. All interior trims parts including entire dashboard, seats, door cards, bulkhead, glovebox, rear window panel etc etc has been professionally recovered as per factory materials. All consoles have been professionally re-trimmed. Both Seats & door cards have been re-recovered in factory spec leather & colour as left the factory. Carpets have been remade & edged as per original order sheet. All electrics tested & working. I could go on...

Most items have been rebuilt or refurbished, ready to fit. All suspension, steering etc is fitted. New heater controls & interior dash labels have been purchased. It comes with the original 14" Wheels, which I would refurbish properly.

Any seriously interested parties will need to view the car. No serious offers will accepted without viewing first.
The car comes with original UK plate NCU 19. CHASSIS No. 31009

The grills behind the headlights have now been painted in body colour as is now factory correct.

The reason for selling is simple. I need the space & have many other higher profile cars which I would like to house in my garage & use. There is really very little left to do to complete the car. It comes with a good correct single pipe exhaust. The air con unit needs rebuilding & the carbs too. The only item that are required to complete the car, is a new windscreen as the old got too badly scratched in storage! Oh, door Speaker grills are missing.

OFFERS INVITED. But, please don't make silly offers. I am not strapped for cash! I just need the space.

    Hi Peter,

I am after £60k for the car as it is. I’ve estimated that another £6k would complete it if you finished it yourself or £12k if done professionally. It would then retail at £100k+. There really is not much left to do.

I have now had 5 Ferrari’s (not personally) but professionally restored. All have sold for record amounts. I’m happy to share photos if required.

This 308 will be an exceptional car once completed & is in a great original factory colour combination which will make it very resell able if you choose to sell it.

I am not in a hurry to sell, I’m embarrassed to say that it’s purely down to space in my garage! I have several cars in storage, which is a real shame. That said, it will end up being completed if it doesn’t get sold & is already booked in to be finished off in April.

Viewing is essential if you are seriously interested. I am in Hook in Hampshire.

Thanks, it really is an exceptional car. I have several ‘very nice’ Ferrari’s & other premium classic cars. Surprisingly, this 308 is always noted by friends & colleagues as one of their favourites.

Yep, the speaker grills are hard to find at a sensible price. Typically they sell for £1800-£2000!!! Not sure why? But I can have them made for less than £200, which is what I intended to do.

    Cheers

I really love the car but I think if you complete the job, you will sell it faster and at a higher rate.

    Original Door Speaker Grills:

Do you mean the leather covered board panel with holes in it? I put a nice simple and sane stereo replacement in my car and it sounded terrible when I covered it up with those. Those things have value - I guess they're original?

Anyway, your car looks fantastic!! GLWS.
