Can someone confirm the front and rear wheel offset for a 1988 Mondial Cab with ABS brakes? These would be the stock OEM wheels, 16 inch, convex style, 7 and 8 inch. I have searched the numerous fchat threads, and there is all kinds of conflicting info., and references to the 328 wheels with abs, but I am not comfortable I have the answer. There is one thread that has many friends car offsets, but not for the 88 ABS Mondial. Unlike some posts on various f car wheels, mine do not have the offsets cast on the inside of the Italian made wheels, or at least not in a code I can decipher. What I do know is the offsets matter on an ABS car for safety of braking, I have an eye on some aftermarket wheels from an older f car, I suspect they are not a fit but they might based on previously having been on a non ABS Mondial qv, but I can't just make a guess on this important data. Hub size on my car if someone knows would also help, I will measure but would rather be confirming data that creating it. Apparently hub sizes differed over the years as well with different bearings and the ABS sensor gear.

    I think it was 43.5

I can have a look tomorrow on my front and rear wheel to see what the offset is. I have wheels of a Mondial T with ABS.

Thank you, Best I can tell from my research is the fronts are 43.5mm and the rears 55mm. Not sure the t is identical to the 3.2, probably, but that's my dilemma, I can't buy some expensive wheels til I can be certain. Maybe I have the only 1988 3.2 with ABS :), my build date was Sept. 87, Swiss model so maybe the ABS is actually very rare on the 3.2 series. Not sure if suspension geometry changed with the t and it's different engine layout.

Interesting, my spare wheel, a 7 inch is stamped 38.5mm. I am pretty sure it's the original, still has the original OEM bridgestone tire on it.

The original TRX wheels of my Dec 1987 3.2 with ABS has a front ET of 43,5 mm (7"wide wheel), the rear (8"wide) has an ET of 53,5. I now have Mondial T wheels with a slightly different offset (50,8 front and 51 rear). The Mondial T wheel numbers are 138857 (front) and 137087 (rear).

For future reference, the OEM wheels on a 1988 Mondial 3.2 with ABS are as follows:

    Front 7x16 offset 38.5 part number 126971
    Rear 8x16 offset 51 part number 126949

These are the original wheels, with 87 and 88 build casting dates. Swiss market model.

Eurospares identifies these wheels and offsets as unique to the 1987 and 88 3.2 model, with the original Goodyear fitment, verses the optional TRX fitment.
