    Yes
Not sure why everyone is so bent out of shape on this
In my phrasing, go back and read it...
I say .... previous to my ownership
    One owner for 20 years
I am second owner but the idea is to impart the car was in one title for almost 20 years.
    1996 till 2016
This means the car was most likely never abused, which is a coveted asset.
    Comprehension is paramount.
How could anyone think i could claim a fact against the title like that

So there is only 1 owner or 2. Or are you the 3rd. I'm confused, you confused me, its very confusing..

Did it sell? I'm still interested.

You said you register all your cars, but how do you get around having to pay the sales tax?

In NY a $165,000 car that's registered ends up costing $179,644 with Sales Tax. Hardly flip friendly...

the fact that u registered it illustrates to me that u didn't intend on flipping the car - financially it wld be futile fwiw

Funny, 7 transactions on ebay all as a buyer never a seller. Not a lot of history for a price that high. Good luck.

Ebay is often just a way to get exposure of a vehicle like that to potential buyers, and then deals are worked out privately on the side - I wouldn't let that hold me back if I was interested.

Yeah so you can weasel your way out of the fees. Is this car on eBay. Is it listed as auction or classified. No percentage (fee) if classified.

Based in the eBay photos, it is a gorgeous car, and it will be interesting to see how it fares in the current market.

The other way to make it possible to register the car in NY and avoid paying sales tax is to have a tax resale number - that would be a dealer.

I don't get it. I looked at all the posts.

OP didn't / doesn't appear to be hiding anything. Where is the deception?
What was he supposed to disclose? Who is damaged here?

    Bizarre escalation
