    Happy easter.

Somewhat bored this AM. Kids did the hunt, now watching 'Bluey' so, I thought, why not throw this thread up!

This is my 1998 M3 Coupe, with super low miles. I have toyed with considering BaT, Cs&Bs and/or Hemmings, but ultimately, am not sure where to list it, or even when. I think, when will I find another?

Anyway, I've spent the last few months detailing it and a few weeks back knocked out an undercarriage detail, so I'm going to share those photos here first :)

Enjoy (what I consider) the car porn!

Damn that’s impressive! I don’t think I could drive a car so clean underneath without feeling super guilty.

How about some pics of the car itself?

I learned how to drive stick on an E36 so I have a soft spot for them.

    Thanks Bruce!

35,400 or so. Crazy enough, I'd had a 'want ad' on Craigslist forever, and randomly some guy answered it saying he had a pretty low mile OEM car. No photos, 2 hour drive, said F it, showed up and it was everything he said and more. Every little sticker, VIN tags, clamp, hose, etc etc. all mint and original. I did a full cooling system refresh March 1, and new tires, but I'm looking at it like, wtf am I going to do with this thing? You nailed it...Almost too nice to drive. I'm not a fancy collector, I have 226K on my '99, and honestly, the mini truck is almost MORE fun than all of these.

I hope someone at C&C likes it, and I hope I sell it to a BMW fanatic there. That's my hope.

I would say BaT if they give you a reasonable reserve. OCD BMW nuts will be in a lather to buy it.

    Really hesitant over BaT lately.

Their saturation point I think really hit home with me when they went past 350+ live auctions at any given time.

It gets a lot of eyeballs, but I'm not sure if E36 M3s are too "early" for the crowd. My gut says yes.

    Decisions decisions... :)

Did you dry ice the underside to get it so clean?
Does Auto Technic do the headliner? Your M3 looks like new!
Just picked up a 98 sedan from down south. I’m changing all the lights back to oem.
Need the headliner redone, have some quotes
Was at C&C in New Canaan too.

    Looking good!

I bet those quotes are what, $1500-1800?

The OEM headliner alone is $1220 my cost

and yes we do these. Biggest sedan vs coupe thing being the seats have to come out on the sedan. We would only install an already done or OEM one though, we don’t fix old ones with new material or refurbish them.

Place in Fairfield, $800. Said my sunroof is ok and he wouldn't do the pillars either. Has a good reputation.
Prestige in Bpt. Who does a bunch of BMW's quoted $1850 for Alcantera, $1,600 for stock. Bought my taillights from him.

Might sell it for the right price. 112k, auto unfortunately. Everything works. Very clean
Repainted few years ago. No rust, dings. Dealer serviced. They an all e36's have gone up a lot. But still agree with you there is more room for clean cars which are few.

Yeah Prestige quoted me about the same.

I always go OEM so aftermarket, even close, wasnt a choice.

Maybe Cars and Bids yours? Or BaT?

I sold my M3 a few years ago. It was my daily driver, so it was pretty dirty underneath and started to break down a lot. This picture is from when I first got it and it only had 3000 miles.
I only got $5000 on trade in. But realize I did not trade in the car in the photo. I traded in that car after 20 years of daily driving.
In spite of its racy appearance, it is not a track car, it is a daily driver and I felt good about using it as such.

Off to a new home yesterday in NY.

Hard to say I'll miss the car. I'm not one to not drive my stuff, so it would've just sat.

New owner was ecstatic, and will give it a good home in a large collection.

    On to whatever is next.
