Can anyone confirm the Vin Number when it changed to 5.2. I understand it was during 1995 build?

Trick question as I believe middle east cars used up left-over 2.7 as no cats required !

And Challenge always had 2.7 as I recall

Ferrari does not build cars in a numeric sequence like normal companies do----Example, Ford releases the 2009 trucks with VIN 123, 124, 125, 126, etc.... Ferrari releases 2009 cars with 123, 138, 119, 136, etc... There is almost no possible way to confirm the exact VIN when the cars switched over...I can give you a ballpark idea if I research a bit, but it will be a ballpark only....

All cars(road cars that is) shipped to the US that were 1996 models had 5.2 motronic. The reason being emmission laws changed for 1996. IIRC the serial numbers for '96 ferraris would be in the 104... range. If the door tag says "meets US laws for 1996" then it would be 5.2 If it says "meets US laws for '95" then it would be 2.7.
A side note to this, My '97 355CH's MSO states the year being a '97 model but meets '94 US requirements.
