    Does anyone know the proper silver for air filter covers ? Color code ? My covers are discolored and need repainting. Close match with a rattle can (spray can) ?

    I guess I can now answer my own question. I cleaned the covers thoroughly and rubbed down with a scotchbrite pad. I purchased Duplicolor silver wheel coating #HWP101 (spray can) available on line and various auto parts stores. After painting they were still too shiny for my taste so I dulled slightly with a scotchbrite pad. They now appear very close to original color.
