Replacing the rear main seal in my Maserati 4200 (200323, shared with a slew of other cars, 360, 430, 599, 612) wondering if anyone knows for sure whether to lubricate the seal or leave it dry. I'm having a hard time finding conclusive information in any of the workshop manuals for the cars that share this seal, and no one from the suppliers is able to answer if this seal is PTFE which would make it a dry installation. My guess is to lubricate, but would love confirmation before I put the clutch and tranny back in to discover I blew it :)

    Thanks for the help!

Greatly appreciated! Went through 5 WSMs that use this part today and was unable to gather a definitive answer. Very helpful thank you.
