1st time in 15 years that SF hasn't got a point in the first race...unless Rubens gets DQ'd.

Soo we can all conclude that Massa sucks.
We can also say that Kimi is great except at times when he's extremely stupid.

What a wacky race!. That battle between Fernando and Heikki was great. Fernando is going to have the Renault back up on the podiums regularly this year and nick a couple of wins.

Poor Kimi, I would have hoped Ferrari learned last year that they can't expect a miracle to overcome their reliability problems. Massa did not do anything to further solidify his spot on the team.

Great result for Nico and Nick. Eddie Haskell drove a very clean race with no errors and deserved the win. Hopefully the other teams will be in a position to pressure him into mistakes during the season so he does not walk away with it.

He will be DQed. 100% chance! Ferrari will protest since they will get the point if he is DQed and considering they know how close it was last year (1 point!) and considering Massa was DQed for the very same thing, there is no doubt they will push the issue, and it's clear as day - he left the pits on red, and the penalty is clear and there is no wiggle room to issue a penalty. Leave pits on red = DQ every time.

So Ferrari will score a WCC point at least :)

Yes. flashes of brilliance and moments of shear stupidity. WDCs don't do stupid stuff. He who makes the least mistakes wins.

I don't think a decision is required. Both will be given. Points are awarded based on the classification. You dont have to finish to be classified in the points. You finish when you cross the line after the leader has crossed the line on the last lap.

Kimi didn't finish but will be classified 8th for 1 point. Since he didnt finish and it was "out of the control of the team or driver" he gets a new engine.

By the way, that race was about 10 minutes from being time limited to 2 hours. Lots of safety cars!

No way... aint gonna happen. The Renault is slow. Look at the attrition of this race - only 6 cars finished and even then Alonso couldn't get a podium. If he can't be in the top 3 when only 6 finish, he has zero hope of any race wins in a field of 22. In general, Renault will be very lucky to even be in the points of of the season, IMO.

Alonso made a huge mistake leaving McLaren - it will be the death knell of his career. With guys like Kubica, Rosberg, Heidfelt, Kovalainen becoming "the guys to watch" and Kimi and Hamilton being the guys fighting for wins, Alonso is going to fade out as the season progresses until he becomes an also-ran towards the end of the season. At least IMO.

Kimi sucked so to speak. Felipe sucked more :) I dont know but Kimi didnt seem as focused and FM was out to prove something. Overall the car proved it all. Reliability is still and issue and one could think it just might cost them the season with this race. Ask LH. His lack of points here last year was part of his not winning the WDC. Personally Ferrari has alot of work to do now. Mclaren is the team to beat. Others are also rising. Luca Im sure will have alot to say this week. Now Im going snowboarding geesh :)
