That deep wine paint is super. Is the two-tone interior (tan/black) specific to the GT? Something Maserati did on an '09 that I've never seen before is wide directional stripes on the carpeting. Typically in the past, one has to use a vacuum to achieve the stripes. What a ride!
The two-tone was a paid option. I have always been partial to a tan and black interiors. A Black and Tan is also quite nice, when I'm feeling my Irish half...
Our first Maserati was the '05 Neiman-Marcus Quattroporte my girlfriend selected from the department store's 2004 Christmas Book. We upgraded to a 2009 QP Executive GT to replace the manual-shift with a full automatic. Super sedan...the interior smells awesome. The tie-rod recall wasn't too big a hassle. It's a heavy car, I affectionately refer to it as The QuattroPork. The depreciation for the NM Limited Edition was so remarkable, I plan on enjoying the '09 for it's duration.
Five of Foreign Cars Italia's pre-owned Quattroportes exceed in mileage or are the wrong colors (black, white, and charcoal). The sixth, a burgundy 2011 QP S with 21,000 miles for $82,000 fits. FCI's '08 Gran Tourismo Automatic in burgundy has only 6,000 miles for $77,000 but with only a 4.2 liter instead of the 4.7 the QP S has. 6,000 miles sure beats 21,000, but the QP is 4 model years newer. With 21,000 miles kind of high, I'd demand a lower price. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I laugh at statements like that There is something cultural about when a car is considered "a high miles car". Friends from Germany sell cars with barely a few thousand miles on them, just because they are 3 years old. Just for the record, 21k miles is peanuts for the QP. I've seen a QP with 250,000 miles if you want to know and it is still going without any problems, just regular maintenance. I've seen a 4200 Spyder with 120,000 miles and a 4200 Coupe with 150,000 miles. All working fine and still going strong. If the previous owner took good care of the car then the miles play a very minor role. For example, if that 6,000 mile car was owned by an idiot who didn't do a single service, then you are looking at a car that is about to explode. I think mileage should not be such a consideration if the car has been well maintained.
