2018 F1 car reveals / leaks etc

Guys first of all the car was on an angle to give more room . not completely inverted. Second the speaker said its not exactly fast to get out. Third from the time the steering wheel hit the ground till the driver stood on his feet is approx. 21 seconds.

 

I'm not sure where I'm going with this. But in open wheel racing there is plenty of chances to be shiny side down. Though with videos ive seen posted here there are many instances where the HALO could of helped. I guess its a trade off. But what bugs me is that, IF, a safety device gets a driver killed or injured by being an obstruction and being difficult to overcome,That would be a true Tragedy. Imo

 

I still think putting a post in front of the driver’s head is a bad idea. You have rain that will be disrupted. And what about the sun when it’s directly in your eyes as in some races

To me it’s more of a risk than what it’s supposed to prevent.

 

I would think that would be distracting that close in your line of sight. Vs an antenna or pito tubes that are three feet forward from the front of your sight

yeah, I don't know about the "express" article. He completed a few more laps. He was brought in after 1 lap but went back out again.

so alot of photos breaking down every inch of this W09 but the one I'm interested in is this one, the rear suspension and how the exhaust and wastegate tubes go up and over the suspension. I don't think the W08 had this set-up.

Mclaren MCL33 doing filming today at the Circuit of Navarra. Let's see if one of the photographers can snap a photo or 2. You can see the Mclaren semi rear ended in the 4 garage to the left. Correction: earlier I posted some pics of the MCL33...it was being taken off the plane and loaded on the semi and NOT the other way around.
