Yes, Paul Vallee and Charles Pozzi were the owners of Autoval Ferrari dealer company. They were the importers. I have not been able to find to to whom they sold the car. Still looking.

I tried to get to the database by following the link to the registry - but it goes to the I-cloud? Am I doing something wrong?

I do remember seeing this car in their sales room.
But I don't remember what they called it; may be a Boano-Elllena ---which I guess it
is --- so maybe they shortened it to fit on the page to Boano. Isn't an Ellena a Boano
    with a higher roof line?

I'm pretty sure that my red 308 QV was out on that pier. Have a photo of it?

The manufacturing company changed its name - and when that happened, they changed the design with the roof, trans and a few other details. There are some transition cars that are Ellena manufactured with the Boano (low roof's) - i think 6.

The first Ellena high roof was 0711GT shown at the Turin Motor Show 1957. The first 10 Ellena's were low roof.

Hi Boudewijn, these first ten Ellenas that were low roof, did they look identical to Boanos? How were they different? Thanks.

The first 10 had the same body design as the Boano's.

I wonder if these first 10 cars were built on the 508B.

I think so: Mario Boano and son left the Boano company when already these ten 508B cars were in some state of the production process when brother in law Ezio Ellena took over.

At the rear it seems that on the Boano cars the boot lid (trunk) extends almost to the bumper and the licence plate is fixed on the opening panel . On the Ellena the trunk panel finishes higher up and the licence plate is fixed below the opening.

Further to the last post it also appears that all Boano cars had a ¼ light windows and Ellena cars did not. Can someone confirm that these recognition points are true, thank you.

True; the high-roof Ellena cars had different boot lid designs and no vent windows.
