    I'm having trouble finding any good pics of these. I did a search and didn't come up with much. I'd like to let my mom know what a REAL Ferrari looks like! Definitely one of the best looking Ferraris ever built. Any pics of any color or any quality would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    There are pictures of a LWB and SWB Cal Spyder, both blue. Also some awesome pix of other "real" Ferraris... :)

    I have lots more, no time to resize. SN's available, but no time as well. Ask NNO or one of the guys. Fun to drive, better to look at. :D

    Funny you would pick that one; it's the replica!

    Grey = 3021 GT
    Black/red stripe = 1489 GT
    Red (3rd) = rebody on 250 GTE s/n 4487 GT

    Don't have anything on the other two.

    I do.
    Don't deflate his balloons, Wayne. Any Cal is better than no Cal.
    See what good use you could put the GTE too?? ;)
    Here's some more...Cal is prettiest Ferrari ever, even Sergio P thinks that :)

    Somebody educate me, why do some have the uprights on the bumpers and other don't? Was that a change made in a certain year or just what?

    I believe the uprights were for US only cars (perhaps for safety). I know the californias were made "specifically" for the US market (thanks to Chinetti) but i dont think all of them came accross the pond... I could be mistaken..

    Fun to drive? As someone who hasn't had the experience of seeing one of these rolling pieces of art in person, I'm sure driving one would be absolute heaven.

    Can you give us some driving impressions? I'm sure there are many who would love to hear about a drive in a Cal Spyder.

    I thought 1411 was apart at Francois S's shop. This is the junkyard car right?

    Yep. Wrecked, looted of its vitals and left to rot in an orange grove in Louisiana for a decade and a half. Rebuilt using an original (though not to this car) Cal Spyder motor but with an alloy body. Personally, I think the covered-headlight LWBs are the best looking of the Cal Spyders and that this is the best paint/interior color combo as well. Throw in the lighter alloy body and this car was a steal at $570K. Oh yeah, there's always that thing about it being "reconstructed," though. Oh well.
