    In 2003 I visited Alwin Hietbrink. He had no less than three SWBs in his shop. I don't know why I didn't try to identify them at the time, probably too much distracted.
    Anyway, I noticed on one of the cars the s/n of 2839GT written on the gas tank. Could this indeed have been 2839?

    From 1983 until 2003 2839 GT was with the Van der Veldens in The Netherlands. It was also vintage raced by Hans Hugenholtz in those years.

    Yes, but later it was repainted silver. So it could be just a repaint, or a complete body restoration by Hietbrink?

    What my question is, in 1996 Carlo Perego raced the car at Spa. Was he the owner of the car at that time?
