the insurance will be happy to pay but the damage looks not so bad, as I see only body damage, no frame damage hopefully the driver is unhurt I wonder about the value in the article from ilpiacenza: they say first something about 3 milioni and later from 2,5 milioni - strange
Looks like it was raining, wonder how old the tires were? Glad he is okay, spaghetti metal can be repaired.
Happy to learn no one was seriously injured - especially with the impact locating near a bike path. The driver's ego and subsequently, finances seem to be the true victims. Talent always seems to fall off at the worst times! While the damage may appear limited to the coachwork, it's a safe bet that several mechanical sub assemblies saw trauma. I'd not be at all surprised if the suspension corner was hyper-extended, water radiator core could be crushed and perish the thought of oil cooler damage (if so equipped). Plenty of near-by resources to repair the car. Set the toe and let er go! I bet Marcel has his ledger for that chassis updated!!
While that is true Marcel is a pretty atypical Swiss. He actually has a sense of humor. I think he is also a number of years younger than I am.
RF suspension is hurt for sure. I have straightened my share of 275 and 330 suspension arms though. Like I learned at Griswold, if you can break it we can fix it.
Like Tom Price was quoted in Cavallino about the restoration of 3943, "If a man can build it, another man can fix it".
Marcel, there are no more GTO's in the back lot of High School shop classes anymore in Texas! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Ferrari I inspected this week in TX is five times rarer than the pretty mundane 250 GTO and I am still not kidding. MM
