can anyone ID this for me. oil filler / ccv came from a 275 2 cam but I cannot see it in any parts book. I think it is from #8961

This is strange in that the ccv tube points exactly down.
I have not seen this on any other car but here it is.
and as I said I suspect this came from #8961 -- don't know where this car is now.

I mean the oil filler cap points exactly UP and the ccv tube points straight down.

Hi Howard, I believe the 275 oil filler has a vent incorporated in its casting.

    Better pics from more angles?
what is dia of the threaded bore, thread pitch, and how many holes on the o-ring flange-only 1, or 3 or 4? What is dia of the o-ring spud?
Is it alloy? "elektron"? or steel?

I've seen this part-or VERY similar/close, but not on a wet sumped, street car....threading and dia will tell me if its similar.....plus mounting holes....

pic shown earlier shows a fine pitch in the bore...the usual fitting used as a connector: is a double ended male with a hex in the middle and a flare on one end....remember, a lot of cars ran the oil through the interior of the frame tubes. Fuel, coolant, AND lubricant....I know I've seen this thing before, I just cant mentally place it!(creeping old fart issues!)
oil cap stuff is external slip fit with hose clamp, correct? this is: non-pressurized circuitry...

the fine pitch, threaded bore suggests its part of an oil line circuit-likely under OP pressure, or, scavenge pump pressure... this part looks like-with out having it in my hands or my questions clarified-can also be part of a dry sump plumbing circuit, a pre-Daytona era part....(similar parts used in comp cars, and i'm NOT talking of SWBs and that class of comp cars...) This thing is bugging me, I KNOW I've seen this/had it in my hand in last 10-12 years...I don't really do many street cars per se, this is why I'm so sure its a part I've seen. Racing cars are only similar to the street cars(for example: in 1957, you have 14 louvre TdF 250s as "street/racing cars", and "Team" cars were 315s/335s....similar is being wishful....
I'm gonna sift for pics of some dry sump comp cars I've had to rework over last 20 years, its been a while, but not like: "i saw it back in the '70s"
Otherwise, I must be getting senile...

335s I dont think it can be oil line circuit-likely under OP pressure as that thin O ring would not stand the pressure.
I still think it is just for oil filler cap / crankcase ventilation --- but which car as there is no offset?
335s if you message me I will video it for you and send it back email
