the only thing I'll be doing is 16" wheels in the future and I'll use the original style. I don't like "upgraded" looks on older cars. Guess, I'm just old school.
I'm planning some mods to my Fcar. Hopefully it will look like this. Internal mods include a bank of seven Trabant engines running on compressed Zebra bowel gas, the gearbox form a Pullman class 1926 4-8-2 steam locomotive, and fluffy dice. Not to mention that the whole thing will be held together with pangolin bile. A most adherous substance! Bling innit? Stig Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yo, baby! You boyz is knockin it down, man! 16"s, and custom paint is always bling! Goodyear is #1 in Racing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The previous owner had a extra set of 16" F-wheels for the 308, and that's about all I'll ever do to it. Except driving it, which is the best way to keep it running.
Since my purchase, I changed pedals to titanium (but the foot rest pad is not available in titanium yet, which I really want to change ASAP to match w/ pedals) I want to change shifter knob, but I don't know what is available yet. Exhaust will be changed this year. Outside appearance-wise, I don't want to change anything. More power will be nicer, but I don't know whether adding more power may break the balance. If I had some extra money, I want to change whole uphostery(?) inside the car, and re-paint since the paint must be 18 years old! Yoshi Ace
I changed my shifter knob to a titanium one. Looks and feels nice, but there are also some in aluminum available.
I like the way my '84 308 GTB QV looks with the original OEM 16" wheels and rear deck spoiler. However, I installed Bridgeston Potenza S02s and that was a nice improvement in handling, plus the sidewalls are attractive too. Outside, it looks pretty much like it looked when initially delivered, which I think is great. Inside I personalized the car's tan interior with brown tweed Cocoa floor mats, a wood rim and polished aluminum spoke Momo Super Indy steering wheel, a polished aluminum shift ball, and a Freon fire extinguisher for safety. The picture was from before the mats... Kind Regards, Chris
My 328 Plan: Exterior: Wheels (Bought 360 ones, trying to fig. out how get em on right now) Interior: Hill Pedal kit + Knob Soon: CF Trim, Sport seats Mech: Tubi + cat-by Soon: Springs, shocks, then brakes
Leave original, except for power issues. What's the scoop on the blower earlier in this thread? I do, however really like Chris' wooden wheel!
Here's a couple threads I post while I was building it http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/315437.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/324659.html http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4309
To all those who want to keep it original: You guys really like the US bumpers front and rear? How about the cats? Also you do realize, that the cars changed cosmetically over the years (e.g. the front louvres got painted etc). So why not make some of the same changes the factory did? Don't tell me it is to keep the car's collector value. Pls.
