Yes, I'm sure this has been answered a dozen times before but I'm going to buy one or other of these and need some help. The members of the Sussex Ferrari Owners Club have been a great help so far, but is there anyone out there who has owned/owns both and can point me in th right direction?

I've got two young kids to fit in the rear occasionally so the bigger QV may be more practical, but a GT4 is rumoured to be the better drive. I'm looking at a QV this week reg. no. FRW 411Y (red, 10 owners, '83) anyone know this car, or owned it! Has nearly 60K showing, is this major service a "must do now", on could it wait a year.

    Thanks for your help.

Without going into detail, you should get a ride in both. But my impression is:
GT/4 - a bit more simple, raw and sporty
Mondial - a bit more modern, refined and GT

Depends what you want - Mondials are a bit roomier, but they are heavier as well. I'm sure the GT/4 guys will chime in.
Both are terrific bargains and great cars. Now's the time to buy as well.

I think snj5 summed up my thoughts also.

Only the last of the line 3.4T Mondials were any quicker that the 308GT4.

However the Mondial is probably a lot better for regular use?

Yes, this has been asked many times before... And I think last time there was actually a poll. I think the poll went to the Mondial as the best choice. Might be for the fact that it can be considered somewhat "modern."

Heck, I like them both. I would have bought a GT4, but found a Mondial t that could not be equaled.

    Depends what you want:
More raw, classic feel vs relative modernity and refinement
My daughters and their mates (ages 10-14) manage short trips in the back of the GT4 OK.
It would be good to see another fairly local one!
