1976 308 GTB...I will be replacing the cooling fans. Used FC search function and found this thread:
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/308-new-cooling-fans.576278/

This thread reads: Disconnect the main power. Remove the grill, driving lights, bumper, lower spoiler. The first 3 items are relatively quick. Removing the spoiler took. A. Long. Time. Remove the front wheel liners, and the headlight grills. You'll need the access those holes give you. You might also want to remove your front rims, but I didn't need to. Getting the bolts out around the perimeter of the spoiler takes the longest; it's not easy getting both hands on both the top and bottom of the bolts at the same time. Consider having a helper. There are also some self-tapping screws under the car (in front of the metal access panel), pull those out as well. When the spoiler is removed (and reinstalled), note that it fits behind parts of the frame. You'll have to lift it slightly to get over the frame tubes. Do it slowly. Careful use of a rubber mallet wrapped in a towel may assist in bumping it forward (soft taps). But if it won't move, don't force it. It's probably not moving because it's stuck on the frame.

Now for my question: Is is really necessary to remove the front bumper, spoiler, wheel liners and headlight grills? I haven't inspected my car closely but it seemed like getting the grill out would provide enough access to remove the original fans and replace with the Spal a48-12s fans.

    Thanks for the input/advice

Great post. Watching this thread. Going to replace one of my fans soon with another stock one since the bearing is toast on the passenger side one. Good luck.

Take out the grill and remove the bumper, undo the fan mount 10mm nuts and open the round clamp. The fan will then come out

Here are the Spal a48-12s fans installed. They are much more powerful than the Moplan fans that they replaced, so much so that when they first came on they blew a ton of dust out of the fins of the condenser and radiator!! Also, cleaned up the horn and frame while there was access...
