Switch on the left is for 1980-85, on the right 75-79. The extra prong is for illumination. The 4-prong Alfa Romeo switch is also fine....and a fraction of the cost.
Now I need switches too. I worked on my passenger window last week and now I need a switch. I broke the bezel off the edge and tryed to glue it back on and only suceeded in glueing the switch into the neutral position. While trying to force it, since it was useless anyway, I broke it again. Ineptness is only suceeded by more ineptness. (grin) Bob Wassam
I have just put new switches in this morning as the white paint in the arrows on my old ones was gone. I bought the 4 prong ones (Alfa GTV / Spider) circa early 80's, (manufactured by 'Torrix'). Was surprised when I swapped them, to see the old ones were 5 prong, and that the female half of the connection had wiring for 5 prongs. But it works fine, and for $10 each was cheaper than expected. I dont know why it had space for 5 prongs as mine does not light up. Dave.
