I’m about to inspect the brakes on my 1988.5 328GTB. Can someone please tell me what the minimum thickness of the front and rear brake discs is?

    Many thanks, as always

Pretty sure that the min thickness specs are stamped on the outer rim of the disc themselves.

The US 328 tech spec document from FNA shows:

    22mm nominal
    20mm minimum

for both front and rear brake disc thickness (but please post what you find marked on your 88.5 328 brake discs to confirm).

    Steve:

You are correct: my 328’s OEM brake discs were stamped “20mm minimum”. My discs measured 21mm, so I’m good to go...or rather stop.

    Many thanks once again,
    Alan

Thanks for confirming Alan. Always like to have multiple references -- especially when it comes to trusting F documentation/specs ;)
