Yeah that GTB should be a $100,000+ car. Some people prefer the later generations but the concave wheels look the best. This car is a nice spec.
Wise words indeed; my own GTB # 81085 has a perfectible paint; not "bad", but perfectible. A few years ago, questioned about a repaint, "My" mechanic said: "Have it done if you want, but I don't want to be involved; once it would have had its new paint, you wouldn't dare to drive it anymore, 'cause after a few miles, it will start to get chipped, so there is no point in so doing, if you intend to drive that car". Probably not the advice I was seeking at the time, but I'm now happy with the car as it is. (Although I STILL think that the quality of paint & paint application on these cars is not that great...) Bertrand (and Furmano, and others...) Found this old thread from December 2004 the other day. The car is 81066. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/crashed-328-for-sale.43253/ Rgds
Bruno, I saw this thread years ago but thank you. I still don't have information about this car since 2006 when it was for sale
Was on BaT in July and did not meet reserve (bids got to $94,500). https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1986-ferrari-328-gtb-5/ Now the seller is asking $140K on eBay. Kind of ballsy in the current market.
69027 on BaT this morning https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1987-ferrari-328-gtb-2/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2022-09-12
Out of curiosity, what does "40th out of 135" mean? Sorry, still learning. I was the eventual buyer of that car BTW.
Thanks. And by "135 made," I assume that is just for US-market 1987 MY GTBs? Add'l info on 69027: Originally sold new at California Ferrari in San Francisco (that Ferrari location no longer exists) on July 4th, 1987.
Not MY 1987 but for all MY. There were only 135 GTB built for North American market in 1985 to 1989, it's a rare car. And if you look at the first page of the warranty book this car was delivered new on April.
Doh! I read the date in the American format. You're right, April 7th, 1987 is the delivery date. Thanks.
#81569 now on BaT and with body number disclosed https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1989-ferrari-328-gtb-9/?utm_source=transactionalemail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=bat_tagged_comment#comment-11348541
