I have been commuting to work several times a week in my recently acquired 328 and noticed that at night the oil pressure was always higher than in the morning. I was trying to come up with an explanation but whenever I drove to work in the next morning the oil pressure reading was back in the normal range. This morning when I was driving to work I turned my lights on and sure enough the oil pressure jumped up about 1/8 inch. I am not worried but would like to know if anyone else has noticed this or has an explanation for this behavior.

    Thanks,

    Santacruzn

I think when the moon is out at night, its gravitional forces on the oil that cause this. But really, are your light headlights on, could it be some sort of voltage difference, causing the gage to read higher
