It's pretty simple really.... to do the service properly, and EASILY.... drop the motor. It CAN be done in situ, but the extra difficulty, the scarred knuckles, and the inability to see all the hoses (and replace if necessary) make it a pointless exercise UNLESS you have a dedicated track 355 and plan to change the belts every 500km. For the die-hard DIYer, you can buy a car hoist and all the other equipment you need to drop the donk and DIY for LESS than a high range dealer price. As an added bonus you get to keep the gear. The downside is that it will consume 2-3 days of your life and if you are mechanically inept, you'll screw up an 80K car. For me, I have a 355 and a Mondial t.... I have the hoist on order - I'm gonna do it myself. Dave

No need for a hoist. All you need is two floor jacks, and to remove the rear bumper. Engine will roll out. Still nice to have a hoist at the house though.
